Hi there! I'm a recent alum from Hong Kong International School and am starting at University College London for Law. In high school, I maintained a 4.0 GPA and immersed myself in subjects that fed my passion for law and social sciences. I received all 5's in AP World History, US History, Macro/Micro Economics, US/Comparative Government, Chinese, English Language & Literature, and Calculus AB. I obtained an 8.5 on my IELTS, a 760 on the SAT English Section, and a 33 on the MCQ section of the LNAT. I speak six languages: English, German, French, Chinese, Hindi, and Tamil. I've gained considerable experience in tutoring as a leader of the Humanities Tutoring Centre at my school and have since freelance tutored students on various subjects. I was also an avid debate and public speaking fanatic in high school, earning over 6 international and state-level competition awards. My approach to tutoring is rooted in fostering an environment where students feel supported and motivated to explore their subjects deeply. I focus on building critical thinking and deep understanding by guiding students through structured exploration and open-ended questions. I aim to create a supportive atmosphere that encourages persistence and curiosity, which I believe are key to academic success. I love tutoring because I get to instill a love of learning and self-belief in each student, equipping them with the tools they need to tackle any academic discipline they wish with confidence and determination.
